Attend Anywhere 2024 r5.1

What’s new and what’s changed in this release of Induction Attend Anywhere

Released from Wednesday 20 November 2024

This release fixes the following bugs:

  • Camera, microphone, and speaker choices might reset as service providers switched off cameras and muted microphones, or as participants reloaded their browser windows. Now, when someone changes their in-call audio-visual settings, they persist until the call ends. Also, the in-call settings panel now updates to show the correct device selection.

  • Sometimes a participant’s video would show as a blank, black rectangle to everyone else. This happened after the participant blurred their background and reloaded the page. Now people don’t have to toggle their video or audio settings to see the participant.

  • Waiting areas didn’t show some calls until the page was reloaded. These hidden calls were transfers from other waiting areas that the provider didn’t have access to. Now, waiting areas show all calls as soon as they’re transferred in.

  • When a service provider raised a hand in a group consultation, the notification showed the provider’s name, even if they’d set a waiting-area alias. Now the notification shows the alias if a provider sets one.

  • If someone shared their screen in a group consultation, mobile devices didn’t show the notification which explained who was sharing their screen. Now, all devices show the screen-sharing notification in group consultations.

  • Sometimes, a service provider could not join any new calls after transferring a caller to another waiting area. Now, the service provider can join their next call.

  • When calls didn’t end cleanly, the calls remained on the waiting area screen as long-running waiting or idle calls. Now, more robust handling means that these calls disappear from the waiting areas screen.

We also fixed some small user-interface issues in the call screen.

Known issues

New issues and limitations with this release. To see a full list, visit known issues and limitations.

  • The general-activity summary tile (in the Reports page) only summarises data since the r3 release in May 2024. Date ranges ending before this date show zeros.

  • Intermittently, iPads running iPadOS 17, do not capture video from the camera. Other callers see a blank video display but can hear audio. To workaround this problem, update the system software to iPadOS 18 or later.
